Announcement about the new Director of Racquet Sports Certificate Course coming soon

Exciting Changes Are Coming to Our University of Florida Director of Racquet Sports Certificate Program!

Since 2021, our online and self-paced Director of Racquet Sports Certificate Course has equipped racquets industry professionals with the business and leadership skills needed to grow the game—and helped them earn the distinction of RSPA and/or PTR “Certified Director of Racquet Sports.”

As the racquets industry evolves—we’re evolving too.

What’s NEXT?

We’re launching three new courses, designed to broaden access and support career growth at every stage.

Director of Racquet Sports Course #1
This will incorporate ½ of the full DORS curriculum, including the aspects of complimentary sports, facilities, operations, marketing and programming.

It will be OPEN TO ANYONE. There is no admissions process and it will be available in June 2025.

Director of Racquet Sports Course #2
This will incorporate the second ½ of the full DORS curriculum, including the aspects of leadership, management and financial management.

This course will be BY ADMISSION ONLY, similar to the current admission process. Completion of Course #1 will be required for admission. This course will be available in September 2025.

Interviews, Resumes and Personal Brand Management for the Racquets Industry
A brand new course, designed to solve the largest problem in the industry: A lack of knowledge of how to market oneself optimally to get hired in a new job!

The course is coming VERY soon! It will be open to anyone who wants to know how to master the process of being hired for a new position in May 2025.

Why the Change?!

Whether you’re just beginning to explore the business side of racquet sports or you’re a seasoned director aiming to deepen your leadership capabilities, this new structure offers a clear, flexible path forward.

We’re proud of what the original course has achieved—with over 70 graduates—and this evolution builds on that strong foundation. Together, these new courses open the door for even more professionals to gain the tools, knowledge, and confidence to lead the future of racquet sports.

Important Dates to Remember:

  • April 20, 2025 – Last day to APPLY to the original Director of Racquet Sports Certificate Course
  • April 30, 2025 – Last day to pay for and begin for the original Director of Racquet Sports Certificate Course
  • May 2025 – Launch of Interviews, Resumes and Personal Brand Management for the Racquets Industry
  • June 2025 – Launch of Director of Racquet Sports Certificate Course 1
  • September 2025 – Launch of Director of Racquet Sports Certificate Course 2

We’re so excited to see you lead the way in the racquet sports industry!
