NAME, IMAGE, AND LIKENESS
AND ATHLETE COMPENSATION CERTIFICATE

Intercollegiate athletics and the college athlete experience have been forever changed as athletes have gained control of their name, image and likeness and started monetizing their personal brands. For coaches, admins and other professionals working in and around college athletics, this has resulted in seismic shifts in both recruiting, retention and advisement, while also introducing new financial and administrative realities, which will soon be compounded by new revenue sharing models.

The Name, Image and Likeness and Athlete Compensation Certificate seeks to provide foundational knowledge for today’s elite coaches, rising administrators, agents, lawyers and other professionals in the industry to confidently operate within the complex web of NIL rules and laws while also improving athlete interactions in their current roles and bolstering their own career prospects.

  • Understanding the role of third parties in NIL, particularly NIL collectives
  • Describing the role of institutions in NIL and the evolving models for assisting athletes

My law firm sponsored my enrollment in Kristi Dosh’s NIL and Athlete Compensation Certificate course, and even as a practicing attorney working regularly in the NIL space, I found the course incredibly valuable. Kristi covers a wide range of timely and complex topics, including current NIL laws, emerging regulations, and best practices for advising athletes, collectives, and institutions. The guest speakers and supplemental reading materials added meaningful depth and practical insight. I highly recommend Kristi’s course to anyone looking to deepen their understanding of NIL.
