SUREFIRE BASEBALL

Since 2018, the Surefire Baseball Forum has matched NCAA Division I administrators with top assistant baseball coaches from across the country. Surefire was modeled after the Villa 7 networking event for college basketball.

The purpose of Surefire is two-fold: prepare assistant coaches for head coaching roles and create more interest in college baseball among athletic administrators.

30 of the 119 assistant coaches that have attended the first fivew Surefire events, received their first NCAA Division I head job after attending: Blake Beemer (Butler), Will Bolt (Nebraska), Nathan Choate (Loyola Marymount), Eddie Cornejo (Cal State Northridge), Dan Fitzgerald (Kansas), Randy Hood (UNC Wilmington), Jason Kelly (Washington), Karl Kuhn (Radford), Bradley LeCroy (VCU), Skylar Meade (Troy), Bill Mosiello (Ohio State), Chris Prothro (Eastern Kentucky), Kirk Saarloos (TCU), Eddie Smith (Utah Valley), Jay Uhlman (Tulane), Brock Ungricht (San Diego), Clay Van Hook (UT Arlington), and Gregg Wallis (Grand Canyon).

In 2021 the Surefire Baseball Forum affiliated with the University of Florida’s Institute for Coaching Excellence. Surefire is also proud to partner with Peak Events, Marucci, D1Baseball, DLR Group, and the College Baseball Foundation.
